Emerald Ash Borer

Injections

Since its arrival to North America in the early 1990s, emerald ash borer (EAB) has left a destructive path as it continues to spread across Canada. EAB kills all species of ash trees with up to a 99% mortality rate within 8 - 10 years of arrival in an area.

To help preserve your ash tree's environmental, aesthetic, and financial benefits, Ironwood Urban Forestry Consulting offers TreeAzin injections to help protect your tree from EAB. Our arborists are licensed and insured pesticide applicators with experience treating invasive pests.

TreeAzin is a botanical insecticide that is injected directly into the tree. Made from an extract of neem tree seeds, TreeAzin provides up to 2 years of protections from EAB. TreeAzin is registered for use in Canada and is considered a Class 4 pesticide or "least hazardous that is commercial". Ironwood Urban Forestry Consulting is happy to be offering this service to our clients.

EAB has been discovered within the city of Winnipeg. Contact Ironwood Urban Forestry Consulting to discuss potential treatment options through the Contact Us page.
