Founded in 2016 by Alexander Martin, Ironwood Urban Forestry Inc. is a Canadian-based environmental services firm dedicated to advancing sustainable urban forest management. With a strong foundation in science, policy, and practice, Ironwood delivers expert guidance and technical support to a wide range of clients across the country. Our work spans both the public and private sectors, including partnerships with municipalities, First Nations, land developers, engineering and planning firms, environmental organizations, and other arboricultural service providers. We take pride in offering tailored solutions that address complex urban forestry challenges—from long-term canopy planning and policy development to risk assessment, ecological restoration, and data-driven decision-making.
